APPLY FIRST AID
Apply First Aid is the minimum required course by Workplace Health & Safety Legislation for the Workplace First Aid Officer. This course is over 16 Hours. This course includes:
· The roles and responsibilities of the First Aid Provider;
· Emergency action;D.R.S.A.B.C.D.
· The Chain of Survival
· Basic life support;When and when not to use a Defibrillator
· Management of wounds;
· Systems of the human body;
· Treatment of internal and external bleeding;
· Identify and manage strains, sprains, dislocations, and fractures;
· Management of bites and stings; and more.
CARDIO-PULMONARY RESUSCITATION
Knowledge of Resuscitation is crucial in treating a casualty who has lost the supply of oxygen, and/or the heart not functioning, and if untreated will be fatal. This course focuses on treating those injuries, with practical hands-on training. This course includes:
Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation CPR;
D.R.S.A.B.C.D;
The use of a Defibrillator.
When to and when not to use a defibrillator.
Positioning a casualty and more.
